Due to the Coronavirus situation, the National Honor Flight has required all Honor Flight hubs to postpone all flights through May 31st. We are complying with this request to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved.

As part of the ever changing situation, we are also suspending our planned public fund raising activities until such time as it's safe to resume them.  However, we will continue to accept donations for our inaugural flight to be scheduled sometime later this year. Please visit our Donate Page to learn more how can make a donation!

If you are a Veteran or Guardian and have submitted your application, no further action needs to be completed at this time. We will be in touch once we resume operations.

Thank you to everyone that has supported us so far in our journey to give back to those brave men and women who have fought for our country. We will get through this together!

-- Southern Iowa Honor Flight Board of Directors 03/24/2020

We are a non-profit organization that relies fully on private, public and corporate donations in order to make these trips happen for our WWII, Korea and Vietnam War Veterans.  We proudly honor the Veterans that served in peacetime between these wars, as well.

Sadly, there are fewer and fewer of these men and women alive today and few have had the opportunity to see the National WWII Memorial dedicated to them on April 29, 2004 (59 years after the war’s end). With the passing of greater numbers of the WWII Veterans, the Southern Iowa Honor Flight has opened up our flights to include Korean War and Vietnam Veterans.

Southern Iowa Honor Flights is dedicated to making that happen and you can help us give these heroes the appreciation they so gratefully deserve.
